Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in a big way with A Magic Penny!

Trash for Teaching is an organization that believes corporations, factories, and warehouses throw away tons of useful materials which teachers, students, and artists consider treasures. T4T rescues manufacturing overruns, discards and castoffs, originally headed for landfills, and re-imagines these items. It inspires individuals and communities to rethink what others overlook. It is a large-scale community example of how to take care of our environment.

We will meet at the T4T warehouse at 12815 S. Western Avenue, Gardena, CA 90249 at 1pm on Sunday, January 24th. The staff will explain how T4T turns these materials, headed for landfills, into inexpensive tools to support STEAM education. Our children will have a chance to explore, create, and take home whatever their imagination leads to.

The cost of the tour and creative activity is $10 per child and free for adults. We will meet as a group by the entrance, and you can pay when you get there. We are limited to 25 people total, so we will have a waiting list and hope that all guests let us know if they need to cancel as soon as possible in order to give others a chance.

We look forward to seeing you, learning, and exploring together!
